Release of Mercury MPS 8.10 with interface between Docuform Mercury MPS and Kyocera KFS

With its Mercury Managed Print Services solution (MPS) docuFORM presents an interface to Kyocera KFS Cloud.

With Kyocera, docuFORM is expanding its manufacturer-independent MPS solution in the area of predictive service measures and service tracks by a further manufacturer

Performing basic monitoring and maintenance for an entire MFP and printer fleet can be a time consuming and costly process. Through the KFS interface, information from devices embedded in KFS is transferred to Mercury.

The following additional information is provided:

  • Device status including errors, console status, warnings, device details, etc.
  • Counter status incl. details
  • Status of the consumables including details
  • Embedded link to the KFS platform for fimrware updates etc.
In Mercury MPS this information can then be used as usual.

The advantages of this integration are:

  • Mercury's Fleet Management capabilities can be used in parallel with KFS Remote Service capabilities.
  • Since a separate acquisition client is not required for purebred Kyocera installations, installation is simplified and customer acceptance is increased.
In Mercury MPS, devices integrated via KFS are marked with the red Kyocera logo.

Service-Info App for Kyocera MFP

Currently, docuFORM is already providing a further app for multifunctional Kyocera printing systems, which offers the user the possibility of having all service or ordering information displayed online on the device itself. This shortens information paths when it comes to restoring the availability of a device directly on site. A REST / OAuth 2.0 security interface is used, which is cloud-based, so that customer networks do not have to be opened.

How the docuFORM REST API works

As an IT service provider, you have the opportunity to provide your customers with additional services. For example, the docuFORM REST Input interface makes it possible to transfer order status or shipping information from any delivery or ERP system to the app. Your supplier portal can also be accessed directly via links in the app display. The result for the user is a comprehensive delivery overview of consumables in real time at the touch of a button directly on the app. Service apps for other manufacturers are also available.
