Mercury MPS 8.10 now supports scanner of Kodak Alaris in fleet management
In the course of the release of Mercury Managed Print Services Version 8.10, docuFORM's fleet and service management solution "Mercury MPS" has been extended by the possibility to integrate scanner of Kodak Alaris, which are connected to the workstation via a USB connection. This enables the acquisition and evaluation of scanner information.

In times of increasing scan volumes this functionality offers the possibility to optimize existing contracts between MPS providers and end customers. MFD systems that are primarily used for scanning can thus be replaced by professional scanners and included in an existing MPS (click) contract.
The advantage for IT service providers and end customers is that the devices can now be managed via the MPS cloud. On the one hand this offers the possibility of additional services, on the other hand a much more accurate billing in different contract scenarios is possible. This represents a win-win situation for service providers and end customers.
With the Mercury MPS solution, it is possible to read the lifetime counter of the device in addition to the general device data and thus to bill the scanned pages. With the following firmware updates, among other things, alarm messages will become possible.
